Rhinos Earn Shootout Win in College Station

Friday: El Paso 3 @ TX RoadRunners 2 (SO) – Payne Pent netted the deciding tally as the Rhinos traversed the state to knock off the RoadRunners 3-2 in a shootout. Connor Thompson and Landon Albrecht found twine for El Paso in regulation, matching goals from Texas’ Tyler Love and Spencer Platt. Between the pipes, El Paso’s Camden Pendleton stopped an impressive 42 of 44 shots for the win, outpacing a valiant 38-save effort from Texas’ Hunter Hein.

 

Saturday: El Paso 2 @ TX RoadRunners 4 – Ty Neckar led the way for Texas with two goals on Saturday as the RoadRunners topped the Rhinos 4-2 at home. Samuel Bourdon and Jack Herron joined him in Texas’ goal column, while Noah Easterson and Colin Clough lit the lamp for El Paso. Hunter Hein and Nash Wilson combined for 28 saves in the win, outmatching Alex Smedley’s 29 saves for the Rhinos.

 

Sunday: El Paso 1 @ TX RoadRunners 4 – Riley Hunt-Bahn opened the scoring for El Paso early in the second period, but the RoadRunners responded with four unanswered strikes to take a 4-1 win over the Rhinos on Sunday. Tyler Singpradith, Tyler Love, Jaron Ketterman and Tim Marsico fueled the torrid Texas resurgence, as Nash Wilson stopped 38 of 39 shots in his team’s win. El Paso’s Camden Pendleton finished with 47 saves on 51 shots between his team’s pipes.
