Rhinos Fall to Blazers in OT

El Paso fell to the Oklahoma City Blazers, the South Division top team, on Friday night in Edmond, OK.

Tommy Duren put the the Blazers on the scoreboard first with a single goal late in the first period.

Oklahoma City then extended their lead to two just a few minutes into the second before Rhino forward Jacob Robinson finally scored for El Paso at 11:30. Three minutes later, Easton Easterson tied the game at two, but a goal by Nicholas Liotino helped OKC regain the lead at the end of 40 minutes.

Tristin Maestas tied the game again for the Rhinos and the El Paso defense held the Blazers scoreless for the third period to force overtime.

Blazer forward Patrick Wyers ended the game at the 58 second mark of overtime to give Oklahoma City the win.

The puck drops for game at 6:05 pm (MT) on Saturday.
