Rhinos swept by Brahmas – 6-2 Game 2

Feb 24, 2026

Friday: El Paso Rhinos 2 @ Texas Brahmas 5 – The season is winding down for the NA3HL and this week your El Paso Rhinos are off to face the Texas Brahmas at the NYTEX Sports Centre. We’re starting off the night with Carter Tuplin who scores just 30 seconds in to the period. Rhinos are up 1-0 in the early game, but the Brahmas are ready to strike back. John Scharf ties it up for the Brahmas with 16:37 left in the period, but this would just be the start of their attack plan. Patrick Garvey follows a couple minutes later to steal the lead for the Brahmas and we’d end the period with Rhinos trailing behind 2-1.

Benjamin Humphreys takes yet another goal for the home team, putting them up 3-1 over the Rhinos early in the second. Deep in the period with just over three minutes to go Xavier Othon puts Brahmas up 4-1.

After second intermission we return to the ice where Boston Cornic gives us our second goal of the night, but Brahmas are still up by double points. Charlie Wilson is the final player to take a goal tonight, scoring on an empty Rhinos net to round out the Brahmas score at 5-2.

Saturday: El Paso Rhinos 2 @ Texas Brahmas 6 – For the second game of the weekend the Brahmas make use of their home ice advantage and posture themselves for another strong outing against the Rhinos.

Patrick Garvey takes two goals early in the first period tonight, setting the score at 2-0 before the Rhinos can even mount a defense. Rhinos manage to get a powerplay, but unfortunately Tyler Conrad steals the puck for a shorthanded goal, ending the period with a 3-0 Brahmas lead.

John Scharf and Benjamin Humphreys bring more aggressive plays in the second period taking one goal a piece and keep the Rhinos to a scoreless 5-0 gap. With one more goal this period from Scharf we head in to the second intermission with Brahmas up 6-0.

Rhinos put up one final counteroffensive spearheaded by Carter Lehmann who scores a powerplay goal, but with the chasm still wide the Brahmas bolster their defense. Donovan Bradford sneaks in one last-minute goal with only 11 seconds left on the clock, but the Brahmas would take game #2 with a 6-2 lead.
