Thursday: El Paso Rhinos 1 @ New Mexico Ice Wolves 2 – Ice Wolves and Rhinos meet once more this season for another series in beautiful Albuquerque New Mexico! Rhinos take the lead deep into the first period tonight as Jake Sherry snags a goal at the 16:17 mark. With no other scoring we head into the second period at a 1-0 lead. Ice Wolves tie up the game in the second with a goal of their own courtesy of Fletcher Burnett. With the curtain rising on the third period the Ice Wolves take a goal right at the start to steal the lead from the Rhinos. With El Paso offense unable to break through New Mexico’s defense, Ice Wolves would take Game #1 with a 2-1 lead.
Friday: El Paso Rhinos 1 @ New Mexico Ice Wolves 3 – Back on the ice for Game #2! Ice Wolves take the first two back-to-back goals of the day as Former Rhino Trey Erramouspe scores followed by Bode Ensign for a 2-0 lead with just under five minutes to go. Rocco Romita puts the Rhinos on the board and we head into the second period with a 2-1 lead. The second period is relatively uneventful with no scoring and we move on to the third with no change in points. Unfortunately for the Rhinos, Ice Wolves take one last goal before the day is out for a 3-1 win.
