Wednesday: New Mexico Ice Wolves 1 @ El Paso Rhinos 3 – We’ve got a Jam-Packed schedule this week as both the NA3 and NA teams are playing at home for Thanksgiving. Ice Wolves bring their game to Rhino Country for the first of a two-game series. Ice Wolves take the stage tonight and take the first goal of the night. Try as they might, the Rhinos were unable this period to break through Ice Wolves defense and we head into the second at a 1-0 game. Jake Sherry ties up the game for the Rhinos at just over seven minutes into the second and we’d be at a stalemate until Tyler Kowalchuk gives us the lead. 2-1 now moving on to the second where Rhinos continue to keep up the pressure. One final goal from Joseph Gutierrez and the Rhinos take game #1 with a 3-1 victory.
Thursday: New Mexico Ice Wolves 8 @ El Paso Rhinos 1 – Ice Wolves are out for revenge today after last night’s defeat at the hands of the Rhinos as the puck drops here on this Thanksgiving day game! Ice Wolves take to the ice by storm today and put up four points on the board before the first period is out. The Rhinos have their work cut out for them as we head into the seconds at a 4-0 Ice Wolves lead. Kyle Arias saves us from a complete shutout with a goal at 6:43 in the second period. Unfortunately the Ice Wolves take another four in the second period and wrap up the game with an 8-1 victory over the Rhinos.
