Friday: Tulsa Oilers 1 @ El Paso Rhinos 14 – The Tulsa Oilers make the trip down to the Sun City this weekend as your El Paso Rhinos play host to the first of two games. First on the docket today is a two-minute penalty for the Rhinos, but this isn’t a hinderance for Carter Lehmann who takes a shorthanded goal with 15:53 on the clock. This first goal would be the signal flare for the Rhinos to rally and charge on the opposing team, attacking fiercely and taking three more goals over the course of the period. Kenneth Cadwallader, Julian Cortez-Martinez, and Nick Nunez all credited for the three extra points respectively. 4-0 at the start of the second and Huero Rivera makes his presence known followed by Parker Brinner & Briton Oldham with two more back to back goals to make it 7-0 with just under 14 minutes to go in the second. Oilers get hit with a few penalties this period but all are killed with no issue as they’re eager to return to the fight. Carter Tulpin snags the 8th goal of the night for the Rhinos but things slow down as the Oilers rally their defenses. Unfortunately for the Rhinos, Mikhail Levaniuk is hit with a boarding minor, putting the Oilers on man advantage, but Donovan Bradford breaks through and gives us the second shorthanded goal of the night. By the end of the second period the Rhinos are up 9-0 with out a single repeat goal-scorer.
Tulsa didn’t let it go without a fight though as just 18 seconds in to the third period Caleb Gamboa puts the Oilers on the board with their first goal of the night. However the Rhino stampede is in motion and Lehmann on a power play makes it 10-1. the next few minutes are a blur as Tulpin, Cadwallader and Oldham take three goals in the span of a minute to widen the growing gap to 13-1, Rhinos leading. With one final goal of Lehmann this game comes to a close and the Rhinos take a whopping 14-1 victory here in Game #1.

Saturday: Tulsa Oilers 1 @ El Paso Rhinos 11 – After last night’s crushing victory the Rhinos return to the rink with the Oilers to face off in Game #2. Carter Lehmann is first on the board tonight taking one point within the first minute of the game. This would be the first of many goals to come as Carter Tulpin, Ethan McKnight, and Kenneth Cadwallader take 3 goals before the ten minute mark hits. 4-0 as Rhinos continue their barrage on the Oilers and Mikhail Levaniuk tops us off with the fifth point of the period with just under eight minutes to go in the first. Oilers take their stand early in the second period with Rodion Dubrovin earning his team a point with 18:52, putting the score at 5-1, Rhinos leading. Levaniuk takes another for our boys in Black & Orange not too far after. With one more goal from Parker Brinner the Rhinos would be up 7-1 at the end of the second. With one last period to go the Oilers start taking some penalties while being over-aggressive and cede a power play to the Rhinos, allowing Cadwallader to score yet another followed shortly behind by Donovan Bradford. In the closing moments of the game we see fists fly as the Oilers take one last stand to give the Rhinos a thrashing. Unfortunately for them, this gives us yet another power play at the last moment and Lehman and Cadwallader take two more goals, putting the Rhinos up 11-1 at the end of the game.
