Rhinos crush Capitals 10-0 in Game 3

Friday: Atlanta Capitals 2 @ El Paso Rhinos 4 – Rhinos are home again this weekend as they play host to the Atlanta Capitals. Rhinos take the initiative tonight with Tristen Elmhurst taking the first, and only goal of the first period. In a repeat of the first period, only one goal would be scored from the Rhinos by Noah Easterson. Headed into the 3rd period the Rhinos lead over the Capitals 2-0. The Capitals finally broke through the Rhinos defense to score a goal early in the period thanks to Nick Mumford. This one moment of respite would be cut short though as Jackson Price responded not too long after with another goal of their own. Mumford would go on to score his and his team’s second goal of the night, unfortunately it would be the last as the Rhinos’ Trey Erramouspe took one more goal to end the game with a 4-2 Victory.

Saturday: Atlanta Capitals 3 @ El Paso Rhinos 2 –  The Atlanta Capitals and El Paso Rhinos came back to the ice as we begin game 2 of the series. The first score of the night would go to the Atlanta Capitals as they return tonight looking for revenge. Anthony O’Neal would be responsible for putting the Capitals on the board this period, but it would be the whole team that held of the Rhinos until the second period. After intermission Bryan Wood evened out the score at 1-1 with a goal for the Rhinos at 12:26 into the period. After one final break we came back to the ice for the start of the 3rd period where the Capitals’ Joe McLaughlin took back the lead for a couple minutes until Bryan Wood scores his second goal of the night to tie the game at 2-2. With no more scoring the game is thrown into Overtime. Unfortunately nobody would score in overtime either, so the game would be settled in the shootout. The shootout would be grueling with a total of 24 shots being fired as both teams fought for the win. In the end Jazek Terrell scored the game winning goal

Sunday: Atlanta Capitals 0 @ El Paso Rhinos 10 – For the last game of the series the Rhinos took center stage with a complete domination of the Atlanta Capitals. Carson Doyle starts off the scoring for the night for the Rhinos with an early goal. Two more back-to-back goals by Mike Sobaski and Payne Pent would net the Rhinos 3 goals at the end of the first period. The second period was a repeat of the first with three more goals from Jackson Price, a second from Payne Pent, and Landon Cain rounding out the period. Finally as we head into the third period we have a few goals all within five minutes. Trey Erramouspe took to the ice this period for a goal 2 minutes in followed by Johnny Gunn and Tristen Elmhurst. With one final goal by Jackson Price the Rhinos would take a 10-0 victory over the Capitals
