Friday: Texas RoadRunners 4 @ El Paso Rhinos 1 – El Paso Rhinos host Texas RoadRunners for the start of a 3-game series this weekend. Matvey Ivanov starts us off tonight by putting the Texas RoadRunners first on the board with one point in the first period. The RoadRunners would take this momentum into the second period with two more goals courtesy of Tyler Love and a second for Matvey Ivanov. At the 11:20 mark the Rhinos would finally take one goal as Carson Doyle sinks a puck in the net. The game would head into the third period with a 3-1 lead for the RoadRunners. Tyler Love would go on to score his second goal of the game to end the night with the final score of 4-1, RoadRunners taking the win.
Saturday: Texas RoadRunners 4 @ El Paso Rhinos 1 – In a repeat score of yesterday’s game the El Paso Rhinos fell tonight against the Texas RoadRunners 4-1. Miles Berg took the early game initiative to score the only point Rhinos would see this game in the first period to start the game with a 1-0 lead for the Rhinos. Unfortunately from here the rest of the game was all RoadRunners. Tyler Love & Jack Herron of the RoadRunners took two goals in the second period to set the score at 3-1 going into the third with Rhinos trailing behind. Derek Boutin would further increase the RoadRunners lead early in the third with a point. To top off the game Tyler Love snuck in one last goal in the last two minutes to end the game with a 4-1 RoadRunner victory
Sunday: Texas RoadRunners 5 @ El Paso Rhinos 3 – Rhinos & RoadRunners duked it out one last time for the finale of the 3-game series. Rhinos take the initiative in the first period as Carson Doyle snatches the first goal of the night followed by Jackson Price for 2 points. The RoadRunners’ Logan Motz would cap off the period with a goal of his own, putting the score at 2-1 with a Rhino lead going into the second. Miles Berg took one more goal for the Rhinos at the 5:54 mark answered a few minutes later by the RoadRunners’ Kristoffer Svensson ending the period with a 3-2 Rhino lead. The third period would be all RoadRunners as TJ Lipsky takes the lead with two consecutive goals followed by Derek Boutin for one more. RoadRunners would take the game with a 5-3 victory over the Rhinos to end the series in a 3-game sweep.
